When Technology Is Called the Devil: A Tale from an Era Afraid of Progress

In a World That’s Still Analog

Writing blogs, building websites, creating content, placing ads, selling digital art.Learning SEO, uploading to microstock platforms, running a YouTube channel. To some people who were born in the pre-digital era — and are unwilling to adapt — all of this sounds like a dream, or even magic.

The World Has Changed. But Their Minds Haven’t

This is the mindset of those stuck in the era of typewriters, unable to evolve to cloud servers.
The real issue is simple:

  • They don’t understand technology.

  • They don’t get how money is made online.

  • They have no idea what AdSense, microstock, or YouTube monetization is.

So what do they do?
They call it evil.
A convenient conclusion to cover their ignorance.

“Turns out, the ‘devil’ they speak of... is just technology they never bothered to understand.”

When Ignorance Pretends to Be Moral High Ground

For those who don’t understand the digital world, making money online seems impossible.
It’s absurd. Maybe even suspicious — “you must be a hacker.”

Being afraid of new things is human. Especially technology.
But blaming those who move forward just because you’re left behind?
That’s not fear — that’s envy.
